Mel Bradley Silks Mel Bradley Silks I am a textile designer working with a wide variety
of fabrics and fibres. For over 25 years I have been
designing and creating everything from silk scarves to
one off art pieces to commission. I have worked with
leading fashion designers such as Louise Kennedy and
John Rocha. In 2006 I won “Best New Product” and
“Buyers Choice” awards at the Showcase exhibition
in Dublin. I run professional Textile Workshops for both the beginner and advanced artist/craft designer at the studio during the year. I also hold exhibitions at “the gate gallery”. For details about forthcoming workshops and exhibitions please contact me. Directions The “gatehouse gallery” is located at Millmount Craft Centre. Millmount is landmarked by a clearly visible Martello Tower on the top of a grassy mound on the south side of the river Boyne. Located where Mary Street and Duleek Street meet, Mary Street is a turn off the Dublin Road in the direction of Duleek. Coming from the South side it is second left after the railway bridge; coming from the North side it is the first right past St Mary’s Church. Places of interest nearby Millmount Museum and Tower (walking tours of the town can be arranged by the Museum). Drogheda and environs is a hospitable and busy shopping town. Newgrange at Bru Na Boinne Visitors Centre is only a 20 minute drive away.
