They say the sweetest of treasures are often the most
hidden and Bridge Street Studios is no exception.
Tucked away discreetly behind distinctive lattice iron
gates at 97 Bridge Street, one of Dundalk’s artistic
communities are located in what must be one of the
most atmospheric 18th century buildings in town. The
studios were established in 1996 and currently houses
8 artist working in a variety of disciplines including
ceramics painting textiles and jewellery.
Directions
From Dublin take Dundalk exit from M1 follow
signs to Belfast. Straight through 2 sets of lights,
passing Xerox at 2nd lights, continue through 2
roundabouts and 3 sets of lights. Take next left turn
passing playground on right, take next turn right at
crossroads, follow road as it bears left then left again
(church on right) turn right directly at church, Bridge
Street Studios is in front of you through archway.
From Belfast, follow A1, take 2nd exit off roundabout
entering Dundalk, and take 2nd right passing
playground on right, then as above.

sandwiches at Zest or Deli Lites or dinner at No 32 or
The Windsor. Pay a visit to the Town Hall Theatre and
Basement Gallery or the Louth County Museum. Enjoy
