Exhibition Fund
The purpose of this fund is to improve the quality and quantity of exhibiting craft. The fund is for groups of craft makers to exhibit new work together, primarily locally, but applications for work to be shown nationally and internationally will be considered.
Funds Available

The fund is used to provide a range of assistance, including:

The costs of mounting a group exhibition

Related programme e.g. educational workshops

The costs of funding a group stand at a trade fair

Non-structural improvements to spaces for temporary exhibitions to enable crafts exhibitions to be shown more effectively
Priority will be given to the following:

Exploration of new markets and audiences

Exhibitions of innovative work
-
Exhibitions which explore a thesis or provide a critical framework for the understanding of crafts
Support offered would vary according to the nature of the project and the fund will only support 50% of the total project cost to the maximum of €1500.
Deadlines
Applications may be made at any time but not less than 12 weeks before the start date of the project.
Who can apply?

Professional craft makers for group exhibitions and craft fairs

Collaborations where costs and administration are shared between the group

Cross border groups are encouraged to apply
Please not that funding cannot be offered for exhibitions wholly or predominantly of student work, part-time or hobbyist craft makers.
Criteria

The proposal must meet the purpose of the fund

The relevance of the exhibition to the applicants' existing or planned programme of work

The artistic quality of the proposed exhibition and any previous work
-
The quality of management, including the financial management and its ability to carry out the proposal
