Caoimhe O’Dwyer is an award winning designer of lingerie and women’s wear and an honours graduate of NCAD. She studied further in Paris and in the Acadamia Koefia Di Alta Moda E Costume in Rome. She has worked with acclaimed international designers in New York and Paris and Rome, including Anna Sui, New York, and Sarli Couture, Rome.
Caoimhe won the Mittelmoda international fashion award in 2004 for her lingerie collection “Carousel”, which led to a commission as consultant to La Perla in Bologna, Italy. She established the Caoimhe O’Dwyer label from her studio in Malahide and garnered a loyal following among Ireland’s best boutiques, with stockists in Rome and London. She designed three collections of high street underwear for men and women under the Diesel brand for Lemap between 2006 and 2008. In 2008 she moved her studio to “Woodlawn” in Castlebellingham, Co Louth where she now lives and works on her lingerie and women’s wear. She is an experienced lecturer and tutor, having put together and delivered courses on fashion design and creative sewing at Creative Spark, Dundalk. She has delivered four such courses since 2012.
Since moving to Co. Louth she is a member of the Louth Craftmark, a network of high end designers and craftspeople. She has been tutoring fashion design and dressmaking at Creative Spark in Dundalk since December 2012.
