Young Adult & Teen Art Classes

Feb 3rd 2012 “Art Lab Pro” Advanced Art workshops for young adults                         13-17 years (10wks) Friday Evening Session 6.30 - 8.30pm This art course is designed for students aged 13 – 17 years. It is also suitable for secondary students at all exam levels and as pre-portfolio preparation. Individual tuition will encourage skills development. Experiment with, and use competently, a variety of different media including paint, clay, 3D modelling, design and drawing. Demonstrate drawing skills though visual investigation of techniques and materials. Develop notebooks as a resource for ideas and extended visual language through research. Learn more about contemporary artists and theory. Make Friday nights a bit more fun; hang out with like minded people and make new art works in a creative space! The course is 10 weeks long and costs €140.00. This includes all materials. The atmosphere is friendly, informal and comfortable (the most important ingredient in the creative process – you have to feel ‘at home’ and relaxed.) The style of tutoring aims to celebrate the good points of everyone’s work, and develops paths for each individual to improve. Every artist is different, and therefore every art work is different too. All classes are 2 hours in duration. Class sizes are limited to 6 people and easels will be provided. Refreshments included.
