I am a Fine Art graduate who specialised in Colour Theory and have a love for the use of clean simple lines. I’ve worked for a bespoke porcelain designer where I honed my eye for attention to detail. I regularly attend classes in printmaking and drawing to keep my skills fresh and I am always interested in learning new techniques.
Colour has consistently been my major influence, and the effect it can have on mood when used in different ways. Many of my early paintings involved this play on colour giving a very flat, almost graphic design feel to them, while causing a visual movement from the use of complementary colours. Through printmaking a love of stencils grew and that brought about my use of paper to create an illusion of a 3D image from solid flat coloured paper.
On returning to Ireland from the U.K, I’m taking the opportunity to focus on creating my own series of Paper Cuts, under the name Paper.Pencil.Ink ; using the skills and techniques I’ve gained over the years.
I’m told that I am a thoughtful and creative gift giver, and this has led me to create my own bespoke Paper Cuts for others to share with their loved ones. If you are after a wedding or anniversary keepsake, a new baby arrival memento, a framed art piece themed on a favourite film or tv show, please get in contact and I can help create a hand cut unique piece that will bring a smile to whoever receives it.Share This Listing
