Alison Duffy

I am a Fine Art Painting graduate, where much of my early paintings involved a play on colour. I focused on causing a visual movement from the use of analogue and complementary colours with paint.

Over time while delving into other disciplines like printmaking, ceramics, and etching; I have translated my colourful bold style into the art of Papercutting. I use individually hand cut pieces of fine art coloured card and layer them up to create an illusion of a 3D image from a 2D medium.
Alongside my colourful Paper Cuts, I also create illustration work; combining my love of simple clean lines mixed with layered ink washes.

I am known as a creative gift giver, so I like to now pride myself on creating creative gifts for others to share with their loved ones. My work is predominantly commissioned based, clients get in contact with certain themes or with specific occasions in mind and I create a unique Papercut or illustration for them. All work is cut by hand and completed with a bespoke made frame. So, don’t hesitate to get in contact.
