I work from my home studio in Ardcath, Co. Meath, viewings at my home gallery by appointment.
I have combined many disciplines in my work as a textile & mixed media artist. Inspiration for my work comes from nature and my surroundings. I am inspired by the historical and beautiful landscape of the Boyne Valley, the lichens, mosses and barnacles along our coastlines, the ruggedness of the Burren and the flowers and foliage from my garden which provides an ever changing canvas of textures and colour for me to work on. I love combining wool fibres and silk organza together with embroidery stitch and beading to create a new piece of art, sometimes realistic, sometimes abstract.
My Fibre Art has been selected in the Top 50 new products in 2012 and 2013 at Showcase in the RDS Dublin, Ireland’s International Creative Expo. My artwork in now stocked in many galleries throughout Ireland. I undertake commission work for both the home and International market (commissions for private homes).
