Fiona studied Ceramics at Limerick School of art and design 1983-1987. She studied the foundation course in Art Therapy at the Crawford college of Art 1994-1995. She completed her Masters degree at the National College of Art and Design 1996-1998.
She is currently employed part time by St. Patrick’s University Teaching Hospital Dublin 8 where she teaches Ceramics.
She has work in Permanent Collections including, Limerick City Gallery of Art, The Office of public works and Jurys Hotel Group.
Fiona works in bone china and porcelain, on a small scale, the pieces she makes are fragile to the eye. She works in these materials because they are fine and strong, and her work is concerned with vestiges and traces.Share This Listing
