Her first solo exhibition of painting and collage shown in the Alley Gallery Strabane in 2018 was fueled by the belief that the landscape holds its own secret and silent narrative which could be captured through the medium of painting. She presented scenes from the rural landscape which were overlaid with her reinterpretation of obscure pieces of oral history. The exhibition was titled ‘Kick any Stone & History Leaps up at You,’ after a phrase from a book of early 20th Century folklore which captured her imagination.
She has exhibited work in selected group exhibitions throughout Ireland, in Limerick, Cork, Sligo, Dublin and Belfast, including the annual Ulster Academy Exhibition. Her painting ‘Orange, Green & All in Between’ was displayed on a public billboard in Peas Park North Belfast as an alternate viewpoint during marching season in association with PS2 Gallery. Her artwork has featured in Bloomers Magazine and in the Visual Artists Ireland News Sheet. She is a member of ROGHA, At Home Studios and associate member of USWA.Share This Listing
